Nicolas Anciaux
Researcher - INRIA, SMIS Project (France)
Nicolas Anciaux is a researcher at INRIA, Rocquencourt. He received his Ph. D. in Computer Science from the University of Versailles in 2004. After one year at University of Twente, Netherlands, he joined the SMIS (Secured and Mobile Information Systems) at INRIA. His main research area is embedded data management and privacy, in particular in the context of ambient intelligence. He has co-authored about fifteen journal and conference papers.

Jonas Andersson

Jonas Andersson, Vice President of Business Development at Precise Biometrics, has 10 years of experience from the smart card industry. Among his positions in the area are New Business Development Manager and later Business Segment Director at Schlumberger Cards. Since 2002, Mr. Andersson has headed Precise Biometrics’ Match-on-Card initiatives for National ID Card programs and strategic partnerships with the major smart card companies and system integrators worldwide. Among the accomplishments are the wins of Thailand National ID Card, the world’s largest Match-on-Card based smart ID card program, as well as the ID cards of Qatar, Bahrain and Portugal. Jonas Andersson, born 1957, is a Swedish national, who has lived, studied and worked extensively abroad, and holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science.

David Bakker

David Bakker is a Technical Consultant at Collis. He has an extensive knowledge and experience of Digital Identity Management, applied to several areas such as e-Passport, e-ID systems, Road Pricing and Automated Fare Collection Systems. David combines the abovementioned consulting areas with a solid experience as a senior tester. He has a well-developed vision about interoperability and the associated challenges. Paul Baxter

As Director of Government Marketing at Datacard Group, Paul Baxter leads a marketing team focused on delivering products and solutions for identity documents to governments around the world. Paul began at Datacard in the Europe, Middle East, India and Africa region, consulting and managing on the implementation of a variety of financial card projects, including EMV (Europay, MasterCard, Visa), Mondex® and other smart card related programs. During his tenure at Datacard, Paul has demonstrated leadership in a number of disciplines including technical, sales, product & business marketing. With his business acumen and technical expertise, Paul advises customers on critical issues during the implementation of government card and passport programs, including requirements analysis, project planning, implementation and ongoing issuance & management of secure document programs. Paul has provided solutions and expert advice to many governments on the issuance of electronic identity document, including several EU member states, and has worked with state printing houses and major integrators around the globe on the specification, design and execution of secure ID programs such as e-Passport, National ID, Driving License, Voters ID and other secure credentials. Paul has also been instrumental in defining Datacard’s government market strategies, steering the development of card and passport personalization solutions for secure identity applications, from enrolment and data management systems, through to document production & issuance and post-issuance management. Paul has more than 10 years experience in the international arena of document personalization and issuance systems is also one of the leading experts at Datacard in the field of laser engraving personalization, document security features, and process/workflow security.

Fabiola Bellersheim

After working 6 years for an international management consulting company in Germany and Indonesia Fabiola Bellersheim joined Giesecke & Devrient in 1996. Until 2005 she was head of Strategic Marketing and Business Development for the division Currency Automation Systems. Since 2005 she joined the newly established Division "Government Solutions" as segment advisor ehealth focusing on international ehealth projects as well as on the introduction of the German patient data card. Fabiola Bellersheim holds a degree in Master of Business Administration (Technical University Aachen and University of Urbana Champaign, Illinois).

Working on corporate telebanking and cash management services since early nineties, Bent took a shift in his career around year 2000. With focus on business development within e-business and new services, mobile financial services evolved as his main field of responsibility within DnB NOR. Joining Mobey Forum in 2001, Bent became the main representative from DnB NOR in 2002. He has hold a seat at the Board of Directors in Mobey Forum since 2006. Bent has been involved in several bank-telcom cooperation activities in the Norwegian market since 2002. From 2004 to 2006 he managed Norwegian Banks' joint project on Mobile BankID, a SIM-based PKI solution for authentication and signing. Present position is Senior Advisor on mobile infrastructure, covering mobile banking, mobile security and mobile payments. This position also covers working as General Manager for Telenor/DnB NOR joint venture startup TSM Nordic AS.

Hajo Bickenbach

Hajo Bickenbach has been active in the field of standardization for more than ten years. He is responsible for the relevant set of standards profiles related to (qualified and other) electronic signatures in Germany called "Common PKI" (current version 2.0). He has been active in the field of eEHIC since 2006 as a member of the relevant working group preparing possible eEHIC introduction and as the chairman of the eEHIC CEN Workshop from 2007 - 2009. He is also a managing director of "2B Advice GmbH" which is an internationally recognized company specializing in consultancy and certification in the data protection and privacy domain.

Christian Brafine
Manager e-Identification - Collis (The Netherlands)
Christian Brafine is managing the Collis’ e-ID Competence Centre. With years of experience as a senior consultant and a project manager, he has worked on cutting-edge technology projects in the Government sector, such as the Dutch e-ticketing scheme and the introduction of the European Digital Tachograph in The Netherlands. Collis provides consulting and test services to the main Dutch Public Transport Operators and to the scheme owner. Outside the Netherlands, Collis has among others drawn up a compliance test specification for the American Public Transport Authority (APTA) and is fulfilling the role of test authority in the implementation of an AFC infrastructure for Dubai. Christian holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Telecommunications from Telecom Lille (France).

Bob Carter
BIG (Brussels Interoperability Group) (UK)
Bob is a Consultant who has been engaged by the UK Identity and Passport Service for the past five years advising on their PKI, Encryption and chip strategy and requirements for all UK issued identity documents. This includes the facial Biometric ePassport, the 2nd Biometric (finger image) ePassport, Identity Card for foreign nationals (Biometric Residence cards) and the UK National ID Card programme. Bob is the Chairman of the EU Article 6 technical committee, the Brussels Interoperability Group (BIG). BIG evolved the EAC specification and has successfully established EU harmonisation of the specification and through numerous meetings ensured that EU interoperability and testing of EAC developments has been achieved.

Phil D’Angio
Business Development - Emea VeriSign (UK)
Phil D’Angio joined VeriSign in 2003 and is responsible for developing Authentication projects with the company’s largest customers and partners. He currently leads business development for VeriSign’s Authentication Services in EMEA. Phil’s recent focus is on consumer protection initiatives based on two-factor authentication - a shared authentication network, and National PKI Identity programs. Prior to joining VeriSign in 2003, Phil spent four years as the Director of Sales at Evincible, a Secure Forms and Electronic Signature Firm that was acquired by Exostar in January 2005. Phil holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Florida Southern College and now lives with his wife in London.

Henning Daum

After receiving his Ph.D. in computer science, Henning Daum joined the smartcard R&D division of Giesecke & Devrient in Munich as Technology Consultant, where he manages Common Criteria evaluations and participates in standardization activities, focussing on the area of id cards. He is active member of the German mirror group for ISO SC17 WG4 and WG10 and in CEN TC 224 WG15 and WG16.

Charles de Couessin

Charles de Couessin is a consultant for ANTS, the French agency in charge of the new passports and national ID card programs, reporting to the Ministry of Interior. He is a former Development Director at SITA, the IT provider of the air transport industry. Charles has pioneered various projects on passengers’ facilitation and security after the 09/11 events. In particular by launching s-Travel, an EU funded initiative (FP5) on airport facilitation. He contributes to several EC funded programs and works as an expert for AFNOR and CEN, in parallel to various consulting activities in aviation and document security. Charles graduated from London Imperial College (Royal School of Mines) and Paris University.

Nicolas Delvaux

Nicolas obtains engineer cum laude from Université Catholique de Louvain in 1988. Nicolas is a technical expert who will participate in several research projects. Since 1992 at Sagem, Nicolas has a solid experience in R&D projects. He worked in telecommunication field and contributed to emergence of GSM-R. Since 2002, Nicolas is working in biometric domain. Nicolas is coordinating research efforts of TURBINE (http://www.turbine-project.org). Nicolas has been participating for a long time in standardisation efforts on the ISO sub-committee dedicated to biometrics: head of the French delegation to ISO/IEC JTC1 SC37, chairman of the Biometric Focus Group at CEN, chairman of the Biometrics committee at AFNOR.

Jan Eichholz

Holger Funke

Holger Funke works as a senior consultant at HJP Consulting GmbH in Paderborn, Germany. Since 2004, he has worked in two major e-Passport projects in the EU, advising customers from specification to roll-out. Currently he is the editor of tests standards for inspection systems on behalf of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). He works in different e-Passport projects in Africa and the Middle East with focus on approval and testing. With several years of experience in software development, he is in charge of the development of GlobalTester, a comprehensive environment to test the compliance of e-Passports and inspection systems.

Erol Gelenbe
Professor in the Dennis Gabor Chair, Electrical & Electronic Engineering Department - Imperial College London (UK)
Erol Gelenbe, a Fellow of IEEE, ACM and IET, is the  Professor in the Dennis Gabor Chair, Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department, Imperial College London. He is a member of the  Turkish Academy of Sciences , of  Academia Europaea , and of the  French National Academy of Engineering (Academie des Technologies) . His theoretical research develops and analyses  probability models  in the computer and information sciences, while his experimental work designs self-aware adaptive network protocols such as the  Cognitive Packet Network, testing them via large scale experiments.  Erol made early research contributions to automata theory, the performance of paging algorithms for virtual memory systems, random access communication channels and data link control procedures. He has developed novel diffusion models of multiprogramming systems and of wireless multi-hop networks; he has proved optimality criteria for checkpointing policies in data bases; he contributed adaptive control policies to avoid thrashing and maximise throughput in virtual memory systems; he has introduced new product form queueing network models that incorporate control functions such as workload re-routing and work removal called "G-networks". His has introduced models of spiked neurons and their learning algorithms with numerous applications including the design of an "autonomic" packet network (CPN: the cognitive packet network) which uses neural networks in each node for routing decisions.  A graduate of METU, Ankara, Erol is active in funded research programmes in the UK and the EU, and in scientific organisations such as ACM, BCS and UKCRC. He was a founder of IFIP Working Group 7.3 (Computer System Performance Evaluation), ACM SIGMETRICS and of the journal Performance Evaluation. He has received the "honoris causa" doctorate from the University of Rome II (Italy), Liege University in Belgium, and Bogazici University (Istanbul). His scientific prizes include the ACM SIGMETRICS Life-Time Achievement Award and the Prix France Telecom of the French Academy of Sciences.

Kevin Gillick

As Executive Director of GlobalPlatform, Mr. Gillick is responsible for driving awareness and accelerating adoption of the GlobalPlatform Specifications within global markets. Mr. Gillick coordinates and manages the organization’s strategic planning and oversees all marketing and business development initiatives within key vertical market sectors. He works closely with GlobalPlatform’s Technical Director, all three of the organization’s technical committees - Card, Device and Systems - and the GlobalPlatform Task Forces. Mr. Gillick is directly responsible to the Board of Directors and the GlobalPlatform membership. Prior to his appointment to a full-time role within GlobalPlatform, Mr. Gillick held various marketing and business development positions at Datacard Group. Most recently, as Head of Corporate Marketing, he was responsible for worldwide marketing activities associated with the company’s range of secure identity, card personalization and card life cycle management solutions. He managed several worldwide corporate marketing functions and was directly responsible for Datacard Group’s market and brand positioning. While at Datacard Group, Mr. Gillick served the Smart Card Alliance on the Board of Directors, with a two year term as Chairman of the Board. Mr. Gillick has served as GlobalPlatform’s full-time Executive Director since 2006. Prior to this appointment, and while in the employment of Datacard Group, he was actively involved in the organization as GlobalPlatform’s Marketing Center Chair.

Andrew Henderson
Chairman Intellect - Identity Management Group (United Kingdom)
Andrew Henderson is Chairman of the Identity Management Group of Intellect. He has held this role since the Group’s foundation in 2006. This Identity Management Group represents all companies with an interest in identity management. Its activities range from engaging with government on standards and the rollout of the National Identity Scheme to a consideration of broader issues, such as interoperability, security and governance. Andrew has become a recognised authority on Identity Management issues and co-authored a number of works on this topic.

Andrew has worked in the Smart Card and Security Printing business in a number of consultancy and commercial roles. He is currently Managing Director of Wychwood Consulting Limited, (http://wychwoodconsultingltd.co.uk/). Wychwood specialises in both commercial and technical consulting around Identity Management, NFC and Smart Card technology.

Andrew represents the UK IT industry as Chairman of the Identity Management Group of Intellect as well as being a member of Eurim.

Previously Andrew was Sales Director for Giesecke & Devrient GB Ltd, (www.gi-de.com) a market leader in the provision of smart card solutions into the Government, Enterprise, Telecomms and Banking markets. Andrew grew the business’ turnover from £25M in 2003 to £42M in 2007. Andrew took on this role in 2003. Prior to that he was responsible for setting up G&D’s IT security consultancy business in the UK as part of the founding team (www.secunet.com) in 2000, taking that to a turnover of £500k at the end of the first two years with 4 staff.

Andrew was with Gemplus (www.gemalto.com), market leader in smart cards, from 1997 – 2000. He was initially GSM Marketing Manager N Europe and latterly Solutions Manager, Telecomms UK, selling Gemplus’ GSM service platforms. Prior to Gemplus, Andrew was with NBS Technologies (www.nbstech.com) 1996 – 97, where he was responsible for global alliances and the EMEA dealer network, selling primarily into the Government sector. Andrew started his career with the De La Rue Group’s (www.delarue.com) banknote printing business, 1988 – 95, where he was responsible for roles in Sales, Marketing and Operations in the UK, Spain and Kenya.

Andrew has 20 years of solid commercial experience in Sales, Marketing and Business Operations both in the UK and overseas with an emphasis on Public sector and Telecomms. Andrew has an impressive track record in both developing existing accounts and winning new business by opening up new markets.

Andrew has a degree in Modern History and Spanish (2.1) from St. Andrews and speaks fluent Spanish and reasonable French.

Andrew has been a Conservative District Councillor on Hart District Council in Hampshire since 2000. Andrew is married with 3 children.

Brian A. Kowal

Brian A. Kowal, a recognized authentication and identity veteran of 19 years, is responsible for all business and marketing efforts related to Sun's Java Card Platform.  His past includes leading NASA's Authentication and Privacy team in deploying X.500 messaging, X.400 Directories with integrated Fortezza-based encryption.  Later, at ActivIdentity (formerly ActivCard), Brian assisted in the development of one of the world's most successful Smart Card ID programs, the US Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC). His assisted in architecting smart card deployment/management programs with entities such as NASA, DOI, FBI, NSA, US Treasury, Veterans Administration and the US Federal mandated PIV (Personal Identity Verification) ID.  He has degrees in Classics and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California.

M.Sc. Goran Kunjadic
Project Manager - System Intelligence Products Assistant,Singidunum University (Serbia)
Mr. Kunjadic graduated at the University of Belgrade, Faculty for Aerospace Engineering. He worked as airplane designer and also as the director of IT department in Privatization Agency where he was one of the security system designers for database protection of shares and shareholders. He is M.Sc. in the field of information system security and data crypto protection. In System Intelligence Products he is running EMV projects based on chip cards. In Singidunum University he is teaching C++ and C# computer languages. He is researching biometrics, especially protecting biometrics data using sketch, implementing at new card technologies. At the moment, he is finishing his PHD thesis in the field of biometrics data protection.

Marc Lange
Secretary General - Ehtel (Belgium)
Marc Lange is Secretary General of EHTEL (European Health Telematic Association) since 2005. In parallel to these activities, he is providing consultancy services for public sector projects, in particular in relation with electronic identification e.g. with smart cards. Over the last years, EHTEL has contributed to the success and value of several eHealth-related events and has published several briefing papers e.g. on the patients views about eHealth (September 2006), on the "4 Cs of healthcare" (May 2007), on the conditions for telemedicine to become sustainable (February 2008), on the three stages of the contribution of eHealth to the transformation of Healthcare (April 2009) Marc Lange is involved in European ICT projects for the public sector (i.e. social security, customs and indirect taxation, legal identity, health systems) since 1992 and has therefore a long experience in supporting EU Member States and the European Commission in coordinating the deployment of their projects. Gert Maneschijn

Gert is Corporate Security Officer at RDW. Apart from security management, Gert is currently involved in the road pricing project (trusted element) and in the project of adding a chip to the driving license. Previously he was involved as (security) architect in the new driving license and the e-commerce platform. Before Gert joined RDW, he was employed as (security) architect at Get There, programme manager at KPN Telecom and as researcher at KPN Research.

Dr. Gisela Meister

As G&D´s standardisation manager, Dr. Gisela Meister is a member of the Corporate Technology office C-TO within G&D. She also is the head of R&D´s Technology Consulting Department and thereby she is responsible for the conduction of G&D´s evaluation projects. Dr. Meister has been employed with G&D since the end of 1989 and henceforth she has made a large number of expert contributions to national and international standardization activities. She chairs the European standardisation working group for digital signature applications on smart cards (SSCD), deployed in Germany in connection with the electronic health card, ID Card and banking cards. Additionally she heads the - just installed -Task Force within CEN to maintain the European Citizen Card´s Software Smart Card Interface. Since 1994, Dr. Meister has been a member of the DIN national committee on Card Standardization Since 2006, she has chaired the technical committee NIA 17.4, and acts as head of German delegation of its international mirror technical committee within ISO/IEC. Dr. Meister has degrees in mathematics and economics from the University Münster and has received the SIT Fraunhofer Smart Card prize 2004. Dr. Meister is a member of several program committees regarding smart cards and security aspects.

Charles Menseau
Criminal & Civil ID Management Expert - STERIA (Belgium)
Charles Menseau has been working in the Information Security Field for the past ten years.
Graduate from Telecom Paris and trained from an early stage by the French Foreign Ministry Security Department, he has since worked for the Biometric R&D Department at Sagem Defense Security.
He currently works at Steria as a Population & ID management expert for many governmental as well as European institutions. He provides assistance to governments and forensic forces to define their needs in technology and processing terms.
Charles Menseau is also actively involved in Forensic ID control module projects, Asylum Management System, eGate Programmes, Schengen Information System in various countries. These activities provide him a global view of the challenges of the upcoming years regarding the gradual disappearance of physical border controls and emergence of the "electronic fence".

Stefane Mouille

Ingo Naumann is with the Technical Competence Department of the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) in Heraklion, Greece. Ingo is temporarily seconded to ENISA from the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) where he was involved in the development of technical specifications for electronic travel documents. He is an IEEE member as well as participating actively in CEN TC224 WG15 (European Citizen Card). In his previous position, he was a research scientist at the Computer and Communications Research Lab, NEC Europe Ltd., Sankt Augustin, Germany. He holds a diploma and a doctorate degree in electrical engineering from University of Hannover and University of Kiel, respectively.

Libor Neumann

Libor Neumann has worked in many different projects dealing with ICT infrastructure for government in Czech Republic for about 10 years. He has been working for ANECT a.s. - the medium sized firm focused to expert services in ICT. Gillian Ormiston

Ms Ormiston has held positions in both the private and government sectors involving solutions design and consulting over the past 19 years. Her current post involves ensuring that identity management solutions meet operational requirements. Over the past 3 years, she has been involved in a number of key European Projects including the implementation of a combined e-passport and Schengen visa biometric enrolment solution being deployed throughout Norway and in over 120 Norwegian Consular posts throughout the world and the implementation of BIODEV II, an EU funded Visa Pilot Project involving Austria, Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg and the UK. Volker Reible

Volker Reible studied computer science and economics at Technical University Berlin.

He started his professional career at Telematik Services GmbH. Afterwards, he worked as a scientific assistant / lecturer at Technical University Berlin. Later, Volker Reible worked at Nixdorf Computer AG in Berlin and Munich.

Volker Reible joined Deutsche Telekom Group in 1989 as Senior Project Manager for national and European projects in the R&D affiliate Berkom. He continued as Director “International projects” and as Member of the Management Board. From August 2000 until January 2003 he was the General Manager of Berkom. Later, he was responsible for the innovation activities of T-Systems. Now he works as Vice President Large Scale Project Management in the markets telecommunications and public/e-government/healthcare with focus on security projects and solutions.

Since 1990 Volker Reible has regularly worked for the European Commission as an expert, evaluator and rapporteur. He was as expert the German representative in the G7 initiative “information society”. In parallel, he built up the European ATM network as project manager as well as the connections to US and Canada. He was also active in the PAC (Programme Advisory Committee) of CANARIE and founded the cooperation between Berkom and the CRC Labs in Ottawa. He was member of the board of directors from HEXAGO, Quebec/Canada.

In project STORK Volker Reible is the German project manager coordinating the German partners/subcontractors.

Panagiotis Rentzepopoulos

Panagiotis is an Electrical Engineer with a Doctor's degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Patras, Greece. He has been involved in computer networks, systems and algorithms for more than twenty years. He is working at EUROPEAN DYNAMICS in Athens, Greece, where he has successfully provided his services in several different ways, as a software developer, designer, consultant, technical writer, project manager and IT expert in several fields. Important relevant work includes studies related to open source, and interoperability policies and procedures of the EC. He has been actively involved in several eGovernment projects for more than a dozen years. During this period, he assumed the role of the project manager and technical expert of several projects, including the eLink middleware project of IDABC, CommisSign web site of the EC CA, the PLOTEUS portal, etc. He is an open source advocate and founding member of the OW2 consortium. In parallel he led the team of EUROPEAN DYNAMICS in the QualiPSo research project for its first 18 months.

Bruno Rouchouze

Bruno Rouchouze, mathematics applied and computer engineer, obtained a thesis in image processing at CNRS in 1995. He integrated the Gemplus Group in 1997. Since 1998, he managed the Information Security Group whose principal missions were: infrastructure security in prudent product engineering, threat analyses and flaw identification, and security evaluations. His group obtained first Common Criteria certificates in the world at levels EA1+ & EAL5+ for Java Card, EAL4 for native OS, and EAL4 augmented with AVA_VLA.4 for a smart card. He was Chairman of the Eurosmart Security Working Group and Convenor of International Smart card Certification Initiatives (ISCI) for five years. Bruno became the Deputy Director for the Applied Research and Security Center at Gemplus in 2004. Bruno integrated the ID Department of Gemalto as senior expert in 2005. After ID standards management, he manages governmental affairs for all ID topics (ePassport, eID, eHealth, eResident, eDL, eRegistration, eVisa…) at Gemalto. He is the current Chairman of the Eurosmart’ ID group and the vice-President of the Gixel’ smart card group in France.

Rames Sarwat is founder, CEO and a board member of Smart Access, a Spanish ISV software company focused in identity and access management solutions. Mr. Sarwat was formerly head of the Public Sector Services Practice of Microsoft subsidiary at Spain. He joined Microsoft in 2001 and served as Practice Manager for 5 years. Before joining Microsoft, he worked at NCR in Spain, as a project manager responsible of Public Sector projects involving smartcards and biometric recognition. Max Snijder

Max Snijder is one of the leading independent biometrics experts in Europe. His practical experience and integrated approach has lead to an overall view on the biometrics and ID-management business. This includes strategic aspects of biometrics deployments, as well as issues on functional requirements, use cases and processes. In the field of testing and certification of biometric equipment and systems he plays an important role in establishing European capabilities for testing and certification of biometric components and systems. Antonios Ch. Stasis

Antonios Ch. Stasis received his Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens in Greece. He also received his Ph.D. degree in Decision Support Systems in Medical Informatics from the same University in 2003. He is currently working as a Computer Engineer for the Hellenic Ministry of Interior. Jean-Jacques Vandewalle is a research engineer in the Gemalto Technology and Innovation department. He is currently involved in developing next-generation smart card platform and services, and also in prospective research in partnership with the RD2P research group at university of Lille (France). For 12 years, he has been working within the Gemalto innovation department which conducts the R&D activities in smart card operating systems, solutions and services. He is currently in charge for Gemalto of the PlugDB and DMSP projects.

Mladen Veinovic was born on January 01., 1962. He received the B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree in 1986., 1990. and 1996. respectively, all from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade. He is a professor at Singidunum University Faculty of informatics and management in database and computer network security. He has published three books and a number of journals and conference scientific papers. Andrej Zlender, MSc, made Master degree of Information system and Decision Making on Faculty of Computer Science in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He built up his working experiences while working in IT environment as a system engineer on the system protection of the computer environment and other IT systems. At the time being he is working as project technical leader on new health insurance card. He is the technician and developer of the HIC System Sector at the Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia. The major development prospects include the application of ID management in Slovene HIC, chip cards and PKI for different uses in the healthcare (e-prescription, access to health related data through the network) and cross-border use of the cards and networks.
