COMPRION
COMPRION invents, manufactures and sells devices for the testing of Smart Cards, Smart Card interfaces and terminals for both the contact based and contactless world. As the leading provider of test equipment for GSM/3G handset conformance testing, COMPRION works with all leading terminal and Smart Card manufacturers, chipset vendors, network operators and test laboratories. We provide innovative trace and simulation tools capable of ISO, SWP, HCI, USB and NFC for quality assurance through all stages of the product development process, be it chip development, protocol- or application implementation. As a dynamic and results-oriented company we work in very close collaboration with standardisation bodies (e.g. NFC Forum, 3GPP, ETSI) and key players in the market. Our active contribution enables us to implement the latest technologies and standards in our products. We invite you to our booth to get a view on today’s test equipment for future technologies.
Demo Program:
Spectro 2:
ISO, SWP/HCI, USB-IC Smart Card Testing
Our card tester Spectro 2 simulates the complete Smart Card interface of the terminal, including ISO 7816 and SWP/HCI on the logical level. We will run test cases conforming to ETSI TS 102 694-2 (SWP) and ETSI TS 102 695-2 (HCI) against SWP/HCI-enabled cards. We can also show the well-known 3GPP TS 31.122 tests for the ISO 7816 interface.
Spectro 2 is also able to work as a trace device, offering live visualisation of ISO 7816, SWP/HCI and USB-IC communication between a real terminal and a card.
Prove 2 and CLT One:
Combined SWP/HCI and NFC CLF/Terminal Testing
At this demo, we show our Prove 2 in combination with the CLT One covering both - the contactless based as well as the contactless part of the communication. While our CLF/terminal tester Prove 2 simulates a Smart Card on SWP/HCI, the CLT One is a card and terminal simulator for contactless testing. The demo also features synchronous monitoring on ISO 7816, SWP/HCI, USB-IC and NFC. As there are no commercially available CLFs and handsets yet, we will show recorded sessions. For giving you a live demonstration of SWP/HCI test cases
(ETSI TS 102 694-1/ETSI TS 102 695-1), we invite you to bring your own SWP-enabled equipment.

MICROPROSS
Micropross has proven over the years skills to design laboratory tools, which are all considered as references in their domains. Our tools allow the user to fully characterize his product from an electronical and a protocolary point of view. Whether he needs to test a terminal, a wafer, a microchip, an inlay or a smartcard, whether it is based on contact (ISO 7816, USB, SWP, memory chips…) or contactless technology (ISO 14443, 15693, RFID, e-Passport, NFC), Micropross’tools give the means to measure the parameters that matters, to exchange data, to spy the communication with tested device. Even better, their outstanding hardware allow to generate perturbations, in order to check the product’s behaviour under stress conditions. No matter what the devide under test is : smartcard, handset, smart object.
On a perpetual quest for customer satisfaction, Micropross offers numerous services, which range from personalized training to custom design (software and/or hardware). And last but not least, because we know our customer’s requests can not wait, Micropross has defined new standards in terms of support, through its own services and partners scattered all around the world.
Demo Program: Contactless RF test solution (NFC, e-Passport, smartcards and readers)
Capitalising on its experience in the field of contactless technologies, Micropross will demonstrate their latest solution for RF testing. As an active member of various standardisation comitees (NFC Forum, ISO, ...), Micropross developped an innovative and easy to use solution for the RF characterisation of contactless devices (readers and targets), and Smart Event 2009’s RF demonstrations will be focused on Micropross’implementation of NFC Forum defined test cases (as of september 2009). This product is called Universal Test Bench, and it will be presented in association with our latest contactless NFC object and smartcards tester, the MP300 TCL2.
NFC object manufacturers are invited to bring their prototypes for live test sessions
The MP300 TCL2 Digital NFC and SWP/HCI test solutions
The NFC technology is becoming more and more mature, and test specifications have now reached a stable state. The NFC Forum organisation has standardised everything that has to do with the contactless side of a NFC transaction, whereas the ETSI organisation defined the link between a NFC handset, and a secure element using the SWP protocol.
Micropross will showcase at Smart Event 2009 packaged test solutions, that make it possible to test a NFC device against the NFC Forum Digital Test Plan cases, but also to check the behaviour of SWP enabled handsets and U-SIM against the ETSI TS 102 695 and TS 102 694 specifications. Those test solutions are based on the MP300 TCL2, MP300 SC1 and MP300 TC3 testers.
Furthermore, Micropross will demonstrate how convenient it is to get a full analysis of a complete NFC transaction, including contact and contactless exchanges, using the combination of MP300 contact and contactless testers. With this solution, it is possible to witness the consequence of contactless NFC exchanges on the ISO 7816, SWP and USB channels, and vice versa

Project name: TaggyNet (Polytech Marseille - France)
Rewarded in 2009 - Silver Award
TaggyNet introduces new ways to exchange information and to be in touch for on-line community members (Facebook.com, MySpace.com…). The fundamental contribution of this application is to bring two new features into social networks: an advertising service and a location based service. To launch these services a link between mobile phones operators and on-line communities is setup.
Many public sites, stores, restaurants and hotels will have a tag waiting to be “tagged”. Since tags represent free publicity posted by the business owner, the network of tags is expected to mature.
By using this network of tags, each community member will be able to share his feelings about a specific place as a customer or to notify his position. As a result, indirect advertising will be generated for the whole community.
The mobile phone will become a powerful tool to share consumer and traveller experiences and mobile operators will play a central role in the advertising chain comprising businesses, mobile operators and online communities
