The CNRFID (Centre National de Référence RFID) has been created to promote the development of applications for this new technology in "facilitating" appropriation by the users of radio frequency identification and tracking technologies (RFID) as well as techniques, best practices and systems that use them. The Center will focus on applications of tracking and identifying objects and animals by radio-frequency.

JAVA CARD FORUM

The primary purpose of the Java Card Forum is to promote as an industry the development of Java as the preferred interpreter language for interoperable smart cards. The Forum is divided into two Committees; the Business Committee and the Technical Committee, and they have met every quarter since the Forum was founded in 1997, successfully providing recommendations to SUN Microsystems for the Java Card specifications, the latest version being Java Card 3.0. Current work is focused on completing the Java Card 3 technology offer and promoting this new platform to different markets.
