Join the EuroTRUSTAmI’08 European Workshop !
European Research towards Trusted Ambient Intelligence

After its successful 1st edition in 2007 assembling more than 25 European R&D projects, the 2008 edition of EuroTRUSTAmI will take place within the 9th edition of the "Smart Event" and its 3 co-located international conferences gathering over 750 professional delegates from 45 countries.

Many research projects funded by the European Commission (6 th and 7 th FP) are presently working towards the realization of secure ambient intelligence goals.
The EuroTRUSTAmI workshop will aim to provide a comprehensive and rigorous insight into AmI and secure & dependable computing environments through 2 complementary objectives :

     1 - Presenting and disseminating the objectives, progress and results of the projects to the "smart security" professional and research audience attending Smart Event, and to the worldwide research community informed of this event and its content.

     2 - Fostering synergies, identifying connections and collaboration avenues, among the European projects invited, and possibly also with other external interested parties.

The INFSO/MEDIA DG of the European Commission supports since its creation the EuroTRUSTAmI goal of strengthening synergies between relevant research communities.

EuroTRUSTAMI’08 will offer to its European project participants various innovations and organisational improvements for the best dissemination and media impact and the most successful cooperation exploration and opportunities:
• A keynote Opening address on September 16 morning by Thomas Skordas, deputy Head of the Security Unit at DG INFSO/MEDIA,
• A 20 minutes presentation slot for each participating project,
• A collective shared booth (12sqm) in the main Lobby for demos, posters, live exchanges and networking with the complete audience during the 10 breaks of 30’ to 60’ scheduled during the 3,5 days of the Smart Event
• 1 panel debate about the future perspective of next research issues towards Trusted AmI
• A one day workshop “The making of SERENITY” devoted to this European R&D project focusing on “system engineering for security and dependability” and acting as a co-organiser of EuroTRUSTAmI,
• An important multimedia communication campaign from June to October 2008 addressing a worldwide community of 75 000 professionals (academia and industry) through a web portal (60 000visits/month) 2 online magazines, the presence of more than 20 journalists and editors, media partnership with 30 press and online publications (including the Financial Times) over 20 e-mailings operations…
• The EuroTRUSTAmI proceedings (projects presentations only) will be published under CD-Rom format and given to the the registered participants. (While proceeding of panels and cooperation workshop will be downloadable from the website a few weeks after the workshop).

EuroTRUSTAmI ‘08 is co-organised by the IST project “SERENITY, system engineering for security and dependability” and Strategies Telecoms & Multimedia, the “Smart Event” organizer.
