With LTE deployments taking place around the world, the conference looks towards these operators to provide feedback to the industry to the challenge that they faced and the significant amount of work that still needs to be done.
Now in its 7th year, the LTE World Summit has become a must attend event and I am sure that Informa have done everything possible to raise the bar still further this year. Many of us attend conferences on a regular basis to speak and to meet colleagues. However, there are equal numbers who may only attend one conference in the year and they have chosen the LTE World Summit. It lies under all of our responsibilities to make sure that during a few days in May we provide a summit that is worthy of the name and where we have time to learn and to develop ideas as well as seeing some great presentations. We support Informa in their efforts to do exactly that.
The 2011 conference promises to be bigger than ever with over 2,500 attendees expected. In-depth discussions range from business models right through to the technology challenges that operators still face. 3GPP welcomes the broadening of the scope to a co-located event on WiMAX and TDD Networks. The event is described as bringing in a “different part of the ecosystem to discuss the path to 4G” and we look forward to a discussion between friends on how we can meet future challenges.
In partnership with the 3GPP and with the help of the advisory board, the conference is action packed with presentations, in-depth panel discussions, workshops, training sessions, the largest exhibition specifically dedicated to LTE and unparalleled networking opportunities, making the LTE World Summit truly the world’s meeting place for LTE.
