Vizio smart TVs offer excellent graphics and entertainment options at an affordable price. The OLED 2020 is one of the best for gaming with clear images, including nearly every port connection imaginable.
How to connect a Vizio smart TV to a game console
To connect your Vizio smart TV to your game console follow the guide below:
Nintendo Wii U and a Nintendo Wii
The HDMI and AV components are on the back left of the TV. Choose which you’d like to use for your Nintendo Wii U (purchase an HDMI adapter for the traditional Wii), and connect them. Your Vizio should automatically recognize something is plugged into it and turned and will automatically switch to that input.
Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite
Plug the HDMI cord into the Switch dock, then into the back left side of the Vizio smart TV. The television will automatically recognize the connection and switch to the right input to begin playing. If you have a dock for your Switch Lite, connect it to the Vizio’s USB port on the back left side. Use your remote to switch inputs to the USB source.
Sony PlayStation 4, Pro 4 and 5
Connect the PlayStation’s HDMI cable to one of the TV’s HDMI ports. If the Vizio doesn’t recognize the connection and switch automatically, use your remote’s “input” capability to change sources manually.
Microsoft Xbox One S and X
Connect your Xbox to one of the HDMI TV ports on the back left of your Vizio. The TV should switch to the connected port by itself. If it doesn’t, use your remote to switch inputs to HDMI 1 or 2, whichever is connected to your Xbox.
