How to connect an LG smart TV to a game console
LG TVs are easy to connect to whether it is a Wii U, Playstation 4 or XBox One. Their ports are all located right on their backside for easy connection.
Nintendo Wii and Wii U
Nintendo Wiis are an older console, so you’ll need to get a Wii to HDMI adapter. Plug your console’s AC adapter into the wall, and change your LG’s input source to the corresponding HDMI port. For the Nintendo Wii U, plug your Wii U’s cables (HDMI, AV, or component) into the back of the TV. Click the house-shaped button on your LG remote, and scroll to the HDMI input source. Each input source is readily visible at the bottom of the screen.
Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite
Connect your Nintendo Switch to the HDMI port in the back of the LG TV. Scroll through the input sources on the TV’s home screen and select your desired port. If you use a third-party dock to connect your Switch Lite, scroll to find the USB port.
Sony PlayStation 4, Pro 4, and 5
Connect your PlayStation to your HDMI TV on the back of the television. Press the house-shaped button on the remote, and scroll through the input sources until you find your desired one. Many LG smart TVs may automatically recognize a PlayStation console and switch inputs for you.
Microsoft Xbox One S and X
Connect an Xbox using the HDMI cable and plugging it into the back of your LG TV. Scroll through the inputs on your LG’s home screen and select the one your Xbox is connected to.
